Skechers, known for its out-of-the-box comfort, has once again produced a comfortable, functional, and reasonably fashionable golf shoe that can be worn all year.
This spiked golf shoe is packed with features, making it not only a well-rounded spiked shoe in terms of performance, but also excellent value for money. Skechers' legendary out-of-the-box comfort is immediately obvious as you put them on. It's a signature of the brand, and various components in this shoe contribute to it.
First and foremost, the Ultra Go midsole and Goga Max insole work together to provide soft, responsive cushioning that makes walking 18 holes a breeze. With the full-grain leather top, you get a great fit and feel all over your foot. Even when our golf required us to cover more territory than normal, we never experienced the heaviness or stiffness that comes with other spiked shoes.
The flexible outsole is waterproof and provides traction over the entire base, regardless of the course conditions or poor lies you may encounter. Each shoe comes with only six spikes on the bottom, but these are more than enough to provide superb grip. Having somewhat less spikes than its competitors has its advantages as well, as it keeps the shoe low-profile on the turf and prevents the spikes from protruding too much in extremely dry circumstances. The spikes are also easily removable, extending the shoes' overall lifespan.
The shoes come in three colour combinations: black/red, grey/red, and white/navy, with two width options: medium and extra wide. The white/navy pair we tried was fantastic.
The Go Golf Torque Pro golf shoes provide outstanding comfort, excellent grip, and are entirely waterproof, and should be on your shortlist if you're looking for one of the best spiked golf shoes on the market right now.
